Enzyme Comission(EC):国際生化学連合(IUB) 及び国際純正応用化学連合(IUPAC)による酵素の分類(1993)
最初の番号 酵素の種類
EC1.*.*.* Oxido-reductase 酸化還元反応を触媒する酵素。PeroxidaseやCOX-2など。
EC2.*.*.* Transferase アミノ基とかメチル基などの反応基を転移させる酵素。Transcriptaseなど。
EC3.*.*.* Hydrolase エステル結合とかペプチド結合などを加水分解する酵素。消化酵素やLysozymeなど。
EC4.*.*.* Lyase 加水分解や酸化によらずに反応基を基質から除去する脱離酵素。Enolaseなど。
EC5.*.*.* Isomerase 分子内の基を移転させて異性化(異性体を生成)する酵素。DNA topoisomeraseなど。
EC6.*.*.* Ligase/Synthetase ATP等のピロ燐酸結合の分解に共役して、2つの分子を結合させる合成酵素。
